đź›’ How Kroger Community Rewards Works
1. Kroger donates based on your purchases
Every time you shop with your Kroger Plus Card, Kroger allocates a small percentage of your eligible purchases to the nonprofit you selected.
You don’t pay extra—Kroger funds the donation.
2. You must enroll and link your Kroger Plus Card
Enrollment is required once per year.
You choose a nonprofit (like Animal Protection Network – APN) and link it to your card through your Kroger account.
3. Donations are calculated quarterly
Kroger totals the spending of all shoppers who selected the same organization.
The nonprofit receives a share of Kroger’s quarterly donation pool based on that combined spending.
4. The more supporters who shop, the more the charity earns
Your individual shopping helps, but the real impact comes from many people linking their cards.
More linked shoppers = larger quarterly payout.
5. Kroger sends the nonprofit a quarterly check
At the end of each quarter, Kroger issues a check to the organization for the total amount earned.
This becomes a reliable, recurring funding source for nonprofits.
6. You can track your impact
Your Kroger account shows:
Your personal contribution amount
The organization’s total quarterly earnings
This transparency helps supporters see the real difference their everyday shopping makes.
7. Enrollment must be renewed annually
Kroger requires yearly re-enrollment to keep your charity active.
If you forget, your purchases stop generating donations—so it’s worth checking each year.
